Overview

This project primarily focuses upon developing a community environment around actions in Photoshop that can be shared with other users.

Adobe Photoshop is a pioneer product when it comes to image editing. However the size of an photoshop file makes it difficult to sharing these actions and hence results in redundant work performed by an another user. Other problem in similar context is accessing tutorials on web while learning photoshop. Reading tutorials and performing steps accordingly is a painful procedure and it creates frustration when something doesn't works. Then there exists interaction difference between the software on different OS that creates further problem in writing or analyzing these tutorials. Also, There exists a large amount of data to be processed that needs to be filtered.

Our proposal involves developing a plugin which would create a community amongst all the photoshop users. A person editing an image can share the steps he/she underwent for that edit, and other person can use it, rate it or further append it by adding steps of his/her own. Such community would not only benefit novice user for learning how to play with photoshop, but would also allow expert users to reduce redundancy in their work and to have an access to novel techniques that could be benefical to them.
